Delete your Contrail account

You can delete your Contrail account at any time. Here’s how, and what to expect.

In the app

1. Open Contrail and go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
2. Contrail offers to export your data first, if you’d like a copy.
3. Confirm once to delete your account.

Can’t access the app?

Email support@perretlabs.com from the email address on your Contrail account and ask us to delete it. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before we act. We’ll let you know when it’s done.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we delete your account and profile, and your shots and rounds. We are still completing automatic deletion of some related items, such as comments (including comments you left on other golfers’ rounds), reactions and follow requests. Until that’s finished, email support@perretlabs.com and we will remove any that remain.

We delete your data from our live systems within 30 days, and copies in our backups expire within a further 35 days.

A few things are outside our control. If you shared a picture of a hole outside Contrail, or someone else saved or shared something you posted, we can’t delete those copies.

Before you go: export your shots

Your shots are yours. Before you delete your account, you can export them from the app as CSV, GeoJSON or GPX files, so you keep a copy.
